The Sovereignty of God is directing and guiding the helm of the Ark to its journey's End:Genesis 7:1-4:
The Sovereignty of God is directing and guiding the helm of the Ark to its journey's End:
Genesis 7:1-4:
1The Lord then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. 2Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, 3and also seven pair...s of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth. 4Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.”5And Noah did all that the Lord commanded him.
Sometimes, being in the ark of life, we want to put our hands to the helm, when we feel the little inkling of vibration of cattle and the animals move around in the Ark; and yet, thinking that if we take over the helm, it would calm the animals and make way for smooth sailing. We could no more direct the ark by our own hands on the helm. We forget that God has His hands on the helm; that is directing its course, vibrations and all, to His Sovereign plan and purpose and directed course, until it reaches its final destination. Let us use the slightest bit of discomfort to rest in His Sovereign navigation, never to delude self into thinking that you can take over the helm with greater control! And thereby, miss the bigger picture that you are safe in the ark from the waters of great wrath and punishment, under the ark of God's love in the shed blood of Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, the beloved of God the Father.
