A displaced focus leads to succumbing in temptation: 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

A displaced focus leads to succumbing in temptation:

16Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. 17For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, 18while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

The problem with a myopic view of temptation, is that we are ever so entrenched in our temporal circumstances that we look at the things that are seen, without having in view the eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison; Ever fixed on temporal rewards in this life that Jesus’ view of “Great is your reward in Heaven” of Eternal rewards in the Kingdom of Heaven, fly right out of mind when facing temptation.

The need to have Jesus’ view of temptation is the only prescription for success to resist in temptation to the point of resisting with the shedding of our blood. With a view to resist temptation, there needs to be a fixation of a Vision of Jesus, “looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2.

The need to focus attention on Jesus during temptation will indeed motivate to resist in temptations: 3 consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. 4 In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. Hebrews 12:3-4

When considering the eternal weight of glory awaits, then the light and momentary things in this life will give greater perspective to resist. Hence, to perish the thought of viewing that it is not worth resisting, and to pursue gratifying temporal rewards in this life as being worth living for as greater than what awaits God’s Children, is a deceptive view point that needs to be put to death and rendered useless and ineffective, because a greater inheritance awaits God’s chosen elect children who resist in temptation and perseveres to the end.

Living in light of the eternal weight of glory will give a right perspective to resist and the confident assurance that it is worth all the weight in a Diamond as a result of enduring the stress, pain, agony and temptation, to live for eternal rewards in God’s Kingdom than temporary rewards and praise of people in this life.

The Removal of darkness and Blockages to our Stone Cold hearts of sin and darkness Colossians 2:9-15

The Removal of darkness and Blockages to our Stone Cold hearts of sin and darkness Colossians 2:9-15

God has ordained for me whatever will be. And for me to undergo the physical Heart Bi-pass surgery has brought about for me a multitude of Spiritual truths for me to understand the process of Sanctification in my life. The Holy Spirit brings to me great Divine illuminations to the Holy Scriptures. And this also comes as a result of the Prayers of the Body of Christ on my Behalf. Therefore, thank you, everyone in the Body of Christ for your continued prayers up to my surgery and thereafter!

One of the Spiritual Truths regarding my heart disease and blockage to my arteries which presses on me the need to have Heart Bi-Pass surgery is this:

Sin is like plaque and the heart disease upon my spiritual heart, and while I am justified in my positional Standing in Christ, I am not yet glorified. Therefore, the need for my daily Sanctification in Christ and the need to daily die, and mortify the deeds of the flesh and the sin cursed self.

And this mortifying and putting to death, does not come from my hands, or the hand of any one else, other than the Divine working of the Holy Spirit upon my Heart and the Hands of Jesus; daily surgically removing the heart of sin and the darkness of sin on my heart.

This daily circumcising the removal of the body of sin from my heart of stone and exposing all the darkness of my heart by the warmth of Jesus’ light of His love making my heart a heart of flesh; indeed, ever pliable and open to receive the transfusion of His cleansing blood; ever molded by God's Sovereign Grace in me, by the Hands of the Holy Spirit of Christ in my life.

It is in the inner room of the closet of our hearts, where we are to let loose of all the darkness through prayer, that the Light of Christ may shine in our hearts and expose the all deeds of darkness; through the surgical removal of the circumcision of Christ upon our hearts; to remove all the all blockages until we are truly glorified; this is how He ordained things to be, that we may in stages, grow in our sanctification until our ultimate glorification is in Christ!

He wants the Believer and His chosen children to grow in the Sovereign Grace of God in their life; in order that I may daily experience the intimate union that I have in Christ; that I may press on to know the fellowship of Jesus' sufferings in the daily pain and agony of Him surgically circumcising the daily removal of my body of sin and darkness of sin, sticking to the walls of my heart; yet trying to block, but powerless to block the Blood of Jesus in the arteries of my heart; being baptized in His Death and shed blood, that I may daily experience the newness of Life in the power of His Resurrection daily in my life.

And this daily Spiritual Circumcision of my heart is by the skilled surgical removal of sin and the body of the flesh, by the hands of Jesus Christ only! Only! Jesus! Is qualified and can remove this from my heart; neither myself or anyone else or any other surgeon, can perform this procedure; it only can be daily performed and executed by the surgically Hands of Jesus, indeed!

Colossians 2:9-15
"9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. 11 In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self-ruled by the flesh[a] was put off when you were circumcised by[b] Christ, 12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.

13 When you were dead in your sins and in the un-circumcision of your flesh, God made you[c] alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14 having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross."

To Sin No More!

To Sin No More!

Perseverers! Perseverers! We will be;

Enduring! Enduring! By His hand of Grace ruling over me;

Conquering! Conquering! This present distress, to find everlasting Grace and eternal rest;

Grace! Grace! Will crown my head, with splendor of Truth and Divine Illumination to set me free;

Joyful! Joyful! I will sing, a new song of Grace unto My Great God and Mighty King;

Glory! Glory! I will see: the perpetual light of His Radiant presence will surround me like the sea;

Walking! Walking! Never alone, always with Jesus, Side by side, forever with him as my Shepherd and guide; to sit with the King of glory, forever with Him on His eternal throne!

Purity! Purity! Dressed in garments of white, in radiance of His splendor will I be;

Comfort! Comfort! Will I feel, surrounded by the warmth of His Love now and unto eternity in blissful Glee;

Rest! Peace! Holiness! That’s for sure;

Forever Glorified! Forever Glorified! To sin no more!

By Joseph Valentini

Matthew 11:28-30

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Engraved on the Palms of God's hands Isaiah 49: 13-16

Engraved on the Palms of God's hands Isaiah 49: 13-16

All our afflictions in life should always bring us to the foot of Jesus' Cross as we abandon trust in self and turn to believing on Jesus and trusting  in His Shed blood to deliver us from our sins, not just our temporary afflictions.

My Poem:   On the Palms of God's Hands!
By Joseph Valentino

On the palms of God's Hands; Though dim and grim my circumstances maybe;

though I be surrounded by enemies of disfavor, they would attack to destroy me;

though my afflictions may surround me like the sea;

Take heart! and Rejoice! He will never forget me!

On His hands I see, not only my name, but my life and His compassion is on me;

for He has engraved me with every detailed line, and inscribed me on the palm of His hands forever be thine. JV

The Faithfulness of our Sovereign God to reveal His love and compassion to not forget His people in their affilctions; Be alert and guarded against a blinding focus in our afflicatins that we forget God's faithfulness to His promises to reveal His love and compassion to us in His Son; The Extent of God's Great Faithfulness, love and compassion is greater than the love a mother has for her infant baby and Permanent to be inscribed on the Palm of God's Hands!

To find in the Lord, to be most satisfied and Loved Psalm 23:

Psalm 23

A psalm of David.

1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley,[a] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows. 6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Psalm 23 is a Psalm of David, a great psalm of Comfort that Reveals God’s Providential Care in the life of his people and may you see God’s providential care in your life to Preserve and Sustain you; to protect and comfort; to vindicate and promote; and to Reward you with eternal preservation to the end for glorification and Everlasting life. As a result of David’s treasure in the Lord he made a simple but profound resolve in his heart to declare this uncontested declaration and Resolve: "The Lord is my Shepherd I Shall not Want!"

There is no Greener pastures than what God Provided in His Son, if you think that Jesus is not the green pasture you are looking for; you will never find greener pastures except in the full sufficiency of the ultimate Green pasture of God's provision in His Only begotten Son! Try and find it in your own efforts, merits, good works and pleasures--the pasture that you seek in your own design will turn up thorns, thistles and weeds of dry rocky ground and your soul will always be in want, in this life and for all eternity in deep darkness of a Christless existence of eternal torment!

Perseverance in Prayer! Jesus did! and at that, on the Cross! Psalm 22:1-2

Perseverance in Prayer! Jesus did! and at that, on the Cross and the third Day, God the Father Called Him out of the Tomb in the Glory of His Resurrection!

1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me,
so far from my cries of anguish? 2 My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer, by night, but I find no rest. Psalm 22:1-2

"45 From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. 46 About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me”-- Matthew 27:45

"30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit." John 19:30

"46 Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.”[e] When he had said this, he breathed his last." Luke 23: 46

Sometimes when we pray, we feel that our prayers to God go into the clouds unanswered, as a result of the present agony and distress of life that we are undergoing at the moment. But take heart! and continue in prayer, Jesus Did! And in the agony of His pain and suffering on the cross, He cried out in prayer as He was undergoing His present distress and agony of  being forsaken on the cross; yet He persisted in prayer on the Cross and cried out it is, "finished!" And Cried again, “Father into your Hands, I commit my Spirit” and breathed his last, and it seemed that on the cross Jesus’ prayers of forsaken went away unanswered but in God the Father’s plan and purpose the Delay to Jesus’ answer to prayer was delayed three days unto the glory of His Resurrection, and Did God the Father ever call Jesus out of the tomb unto His glorious Resurrection and Ascension, and was Jesus’ prayer ever answered, Indeed!

Our Distresses, agony, pain and sufferings in life come that we may, like Jesus, make them known to God the Father and release them into His Providential care and Sovereignty during the times of our great agony, pain, and distresses, as John Calvin Comments on this text, “unburden them, as it were, into His bosom”

John Calvin Quotes[Commenting on Ps. 22:2] "The true rule of praying is, therefore, this, that he who seems to have beaten the air to no purpose, or to have lost his labor in praying for a long time, should not, on that account, leave off, or desist from that duty. Meanwhile, there is this advantage which God in his fatherly kindness grants to his people, that if they have been disappointed at any time of their desires and expectations, they may make known to God their perplexities and distresses, and unburden them, as it were, into his bosom."

" In the beginning God created "--Genesis 1:1 There is no Random Chance happening here!

" In the beginning God created "--Genesis 1:1

There is no Random Chance happening here! Hence, live life not under mere chance--there is no luck in life at all!

It is all directed by the Sovereign hand of God!

An unrelenting purpose and direction not directed by chance or luck, but Directed by the Providential Hand of the Sovereignty of God--and Such sovereign governance is never guided by blind fate of random selection of luck and chance, but is Indeed planned, purposed, executed and created by The Sovereign God of the Universe!
