Eternity's Calamity call, no more hope at all!

Mark 9:43-50
"If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out. 45And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell.47And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell, 48where
" 'their worm does not die,
and the fire is not quenched.' 49Everyone will be salted with fire.
50"Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with each other."

No rest in sins dominance and Control!

How can you rest content in life tolerating sin's control at the same time? A soul is restless until it finds deliverance from sin and death. Will you deny your soul rest in the presence of God, by chasing after the temporary resting places of pleasures, riches, fame and worries and cares for status in this life?

Why starve your souls hunger and thirst? Why ignore its desperate plea and cry for mercy and deliverance, as you go on in deception chasing after things that do not last?

What will you do when your resting places give way with no footing to stand on? What will you do when your temporary resting place gives way over the shallow ice? Your foot will slip and you will fall with no footing to hold you up for all eternity! The ice will break and you will fall with nothing to hold onto, when you held onto the things of this life, and treasured the things of this life in light of Eternity! It is like walking on thin ice--then Crack!!! the ice breaks! What will you do when it gives way with nothing to hold on to at the sudden strike of Eternity's calamity call! Then there will be no more hope at all!

Life is temporary, and there are temporary resting places only! Until you find your permanent resting place eternally in the presence of God by resting in the Grace of God through Christ! Or, eternally away from the presence of God in eternal Death where the flame of torment is unquenchable and the temporary resting places have dissolved.

The Advenger of His Insulted Majesty

Exodus 34:8 “Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished” Habakkuk 1:13 “Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrong. “
"Sin will not escape with impunity; He will be the avenger of His insulted majesty!" Wow! Well put, when I think of God's Holiness I am forced to look beyond my near sightedness and into the presence of God's Holy Majesty. God delights to have His image in His people, but He cannot dwell with Sin; how we are far off to not see the presence of His holy majesty to hate sin in us! Yet the Avenger of His Holy Majesty to punish His only Begotten Son, on my behalf, so I can dwell in His holy majestic Presence!
Iniquity is hateful in his sight...it will not escape with impunity...he will be the avenger of his insulted majesty. (John Calvin Inst. 2.8.3)

Self-Centered Theology is Blinding to Obeying God's Word

"Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?" -JESUS in Matthew 15:3.

Man Centered Theology--Where Preference is given to Self righteousness over Christ's Righteousness. This is a practice of giving deference to traditions and self centered merits in trying to please God, over the Grace of God and Merits of Christ for Salvation and gaining acceptance before God.

When we rely on our merits, we end up creating our own rules and standards in disregard to the Commandments of God, thus, we transgress against God's Grace; living by our merits and always falling short of God's Glory-- Instead, we should empty ourselves and humble our self before the throne of Grace and rely on Christ's Merits for our Salvation, and in doing so, we will find Christ Righteousness fulfilling the commandments of God in our lives.

The Law of our Being...the pursuit of the Knowledge of God

Hosea 6:3 Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth."

If all are born and live for the express purpose of learning to know God, and if the knowledge of God, in so far as it fails to produce this effect, is fleeting and vain, it is clear that all those who do not direct the whole thoughts and actions of their lives to this end fail to fulfil the law of their being. (Inst. 1.3.3)

I like that when John Calvin writes "The express purpose of learning is to know God"...when we live our life and fail to live for that end, we fail to fulfill the law of our being...Awesome!..."the law of our being"..."The law of our being is to know God...any other pursuit is breaking the law of our being! ...well put, "the law of our being..."

How the Many Look to themselves for their merits due them

13"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. Matthew 7:13
John Calvin [I]f we look only to ourselves and consider what is due to our merits, no ground of hope remains, but we lie forsaken of God under eternal death. (Inst. 3.2.1)
How sad for those who look to their Merits, no ground of hope remains and they do not even see their condition! How many the multitudes, which look to themselves and consider what is due their merits, instead of looking to the merits of Christ for Salvation!

The Seed Snatcher...Is one of the Enemies Vice

This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God. 12Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved Luke 8:11-12

Guard the Word in your heart! The Enemies mode of attack is to keep a person ignorant and in darkness of God's Word; he will go to great lengths to keep you from seeing God's word

The Great Exchange!

"Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent—
the LORD detests them both." Proverbs 17:15

"24but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification" Romans 4:24

God made him who had no sin to be sin[a] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God 2 Corinthians 5:21

The Great Exchange! My wickedness for His Righteousness; His victorious Resurrection, for my Justification! His Ascension and Sitting at the right Hand of the Father, and my Eternal Life!

The deception of Luxury Proverbs 23:1-8

The fleeting deception of riches. Living in the lap of luxury is a deceiving pursuit.
People live as if riches and luxury will never leave them, as if it is always there. But the shocking reality is it is a temporary existence under the sun, here today and gone tomorrow. Rest content in the lap of luxury will only end up in a restless unsatisfied eternal existence.

The law of my being, is the pursuit of Knowing God, and I will only rest content, when I find permanancy in the presence of the Lord forever. In this life, I cannot rest in the lap of luxury if my heart is not resting in God's Grace.

Proverbs 23
1 When you sit to dine with a ruler,
note well what[a] is before you,
2 and put a knife to your throat
if you are given to gluttony.
3 Do not crave his delicacies,
for that food is deceptive.

4 Do not wear yourself out to get rich;
have the wisdom to show restraint.
5 Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone,
for they will surely sprout wings
and fly off to the sky like an eagle.

6 Do not eat the food of a stingy man,
do not crave his delicacies;
7 for he is the kind of man
who is always thinking about the cost.[b]
“Eat and drink,” he says to you,
but his heart is not with you.
8 You will vomit up the little you have eaten
and will have wasted your compliments

The Basis of our Worthiness Before Christ Luke 7:1-10

4When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him, "This man deserves to have you do this, 5because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue." 6So Jesus went with them.
He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: "Lord, don't trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. 7That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. 8For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and that one, 'Come,' and he comes. I say to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."
9When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, "I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel." 10Then the men who had been sent returned to the house and found the servant well.

There are two perspectives we can have regarding our worthiness before the Eternal Son of God and His Kingdom, only 1 perspective is right.

You can have a man centered perspective, or, A God Centered Perspective.
This sovereignty of man perspective basis ones worthiness on your own merits before Christ. The Jewish leader had that perspective of the Roman Centurion, they based his worthiness before Christ, on the fact that he was good to the Jewish nation, helped them have their Synagogue built and used his resources to have that built.

However, the Centurion's perspective was a God Centered perspective. He saw himself through the Sovereignty of God's eyes. He was unworthy before Christ. He did not basis his merits on himself to have Jesus come to Him, for he know he was not worthy to have Jesus even come under his roof! Even though he was instrumental in building the Synagogue.

Such a perspective sees our unworthiness before the Eternal Son of God. The Centurion relied on Christ mercy to make him worthy. He relied on Christ to have mercy on him, he was not relying on himself or his merits or reputation before the elders of Israel.

Our Worthiness is based on Four aspects of Jesus' Redemptive Life:

1. We are only righteous through Christ's Righteousness to Enter God's Kingdom-- Apart from Christ's righteousness; we are not worthy or made righteous in and of ourselves

2. We are only cleansed only through the Blood of Christ, through His Death on the cross--Apart from the blood of Jesus; we are not cleansed and forgiven.

3. Only through the Resurrection of Jesus are and do we receive Justification and Eternal life--apart from Jesus' resurrection; there is no hope for eternal life or justification.

4. Only through the Holy Spirit, are we made Born again of new life in Christ--apart from the Holy Spirit's work of regenerating us with new life in Christ, a new self being made in the image and likeness of Christ--apart from the Holy Spirit's Work of regeneration and quickening;we are still dead in our sins; nor are we able; nor can we regenerate or quicken our souls to new life in and of ourselves.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast Ephesians 2:8-9

‎"The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness;
they do not know what makes them stumble." Proverbs 4:18-19

A decision to ignore Jesus is a step down to darkness, leading you closer to destruction and eternal Death. Faith to Obey the Gospel is your step into the light and everlasting life.

Following Jesus' Lead and Direction Luke 5:4-6

Initially Peter wanted to follow his own lead and direction, according to his logic, he was out all night fishing and they did not catch anything, he was tired, hungry and just got through listening to Jesus Preach. Yet, Peter recognized The authority of Jesus' Word and submitted to Jesus' lead and direction. 4When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch." Simon answered, "Master, we've worked hard all night and haven't caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets."
6When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.

The Lesson is very clear, Present circumstances and trials tempt us to follow our own words, lead, direction and wisdom how we interpret our circumstances apart from Faith through a view of sight and pending trials. Our response initially cause us to walk away from Jesus' Word and Direction.

Embrace your trials, Respond in Faith Believing Jesus' Word, and Obey Jesus' word by Faith doing and following His lead and direction.

The Outcome is beyond all we can think or imagine, the possibilities endless to the abundance how Jesus will provide. The net and the catch was so great that the 2 boats began to sink!

Trust Jesus' lead and direction and enjoy the abundance of His lead and direction.

Peter apart from Jesus direction did not catch anything all night, Peter abiding in Jesus' direction found a great Catch.

Apart from abiding in Christ, I can do nothing! Abiding in Christ, I can do all things, and the possibilities are endless beyond all imagination and thought, the outcome is Victories, as Christ fulfills His life in me.

Care Takers to the Administration of God's Will in the Enviornment

We take care of our Bodies and care for our Families, how much more so should we care for the Land we live on given to us by the administration of God's Sovereign will. He has appointed our times, boundaries of existence and the place where we will dwell from the Day of our birth to the day the Lord decides our home going. Therefore, we are to be stewards in everything God blesses us with on this earth--His creation, And He will make everything New.
Acts 17 24-28
The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. 25And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. 26From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. 27God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. 28'For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.'

Oh! the Depth of His Eternal Agony in the union of His Divine and Human Nature Before Going to the cross! There is only one Man whose sweat tears of Blood while praying--

Oh! the Depth of His Eternal Agony in the union of His Divine and Human Nature Before Going to the cross!
There is only one Man whose sweat tears of Blood while praying; whose Blood was shed by His scourging; whose blood was shed with the crown of thorns; whose blood was shed with the nails driven in His hands and feet. He is the Eternal Son of God and Son of Man, who eternally paid in full and endured the eternal punishment for my life: to give me His righteousness and make me whole again and born from above, Born of His Spirit, Born again in new life in Christ--Him will I praise only!--not the sweat, blood or might of any other person on this earth or who ever lived--they did not save my soul. Jesus alone will I bow my allegiance to for all eternity. Hence forth, there is only one Savior for my soul, and no one else will do, so I will not chase after another, for if I should do that, it would be idolatry and sin! May it never be!

"57But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." I Corinthians 15:57

44And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground Luke 22:44

God made him who had no sin to be sin[a] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God 2 Corinthians 5:21

The LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. Genesis 2:7
Every Breath we take is borrowed from the Breath of God! Our life is on Borrowed time, we are not self-created, Self-dependent, or Self-sustaining. Rather we are created by God, dependent on God and sustained by God. to think otherwise rings out Idolatry

Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Colossians 4:6

We need to speak the Gospel with our lives. If offending friends mean that we not walk as they do according to the ideologies and standards of this Life, then take a no compromising stand and Please God. However, we need to speak seasoned as it were salt and try to reach our friends, not in an annoying self righteous way, but in a Sensitive loving manor to help in time of need
